Sober Living Homes Community Discussion and Panel

On Thursday, September 1st, 2016, Congressman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) will host a community discussion on Sober Living Homes at the San Clemente Community Center. The event is an opportunity for local residents to express their concerns about the growth of sober living homes and to preview draft federal legislation to help these facilities function better for the community, those in recovery, and all parties involved.

WHAT:    Sober Living Homes Panel

WHERE: San Clemente Community Center

100 N Calle Seville, San Clemente, CA 92672

WHEN:   September 1, 2016 at 7:00 PM PST

WHY:      To hear community concerns on sober homes in Southern California and to preview draft federal legislation.

Looking forward to the upcoming discussion, Congressman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said:

“Sober homes are supposed to be a safe place for people to get help and build the support network crucial to overcoming addiction. But too often these homes are failing to provide a suitable place for either those recovering or the communities they are supposed to serve. This issue has become a major concern for residents not only in San Diego and Orange Counties, but across the nation. I look forward to hearing more from our Southern California community and seeing how we can responsibly create a framework that allows for sober living home reform.”

The panel will first speak then take questions from the audience to help address and hear their concerns. The following panelists will be featured at the event:
