Congressional Facebook Photo Contest Starts TodayAugust 19, 2013
Over the last month, my office asked our e-newsletter subscribers and social media followers to share what they love about our district by sending their favorite digital photos of San Diego and Orange County.
We received photos from constituents, Californians and visitors depicting some of the greatest scenes from our community including surfers under the Oceanside pier, the flower fields in Carlsbad, the supermoon over Vista, the Mission San Luis Ray and a Change of Command aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
It is clear from all the photo submissions that we live in one of the most beautiful and scenic districts in the country.
Due to the large number of submissions, my office has added a Facebook album to share some of the best photos and kick off a photo contest. I encourage you to visit my Facebook page and share this newsletter with your friends, family and neighbors so that you can help us pick the winner by voting for the photograph that best represents our community.
The voting begins today and ends Monday, August 26that 5:00 p.m. PST. The photo with the most ‘likes’ will serve as my Facebook cover photo for over 40,000 Facebook fans to see.
Didn’t get to send in your favorite photos of Southern California before the deadline? You can still send your photos to firstname.lastname@example.org so that we may use your photos in the district and Capitol offices and share with visitors.
