Hitting the Ground Running

I promised to hit the ground running in the new Congress with solutions for California that will bring back jobs, fix our broken immigration system, advance innovation, and help improve care for our veterans. Last week, that's exactly what I did.

In the opening days of the new Congress, the House approved my bill, on a bipartisan basis, to provide relief from job-killing regulations. We also advanced legislation to increase transparency in Washington and I put forth bipartisan legislation with several California colleagues to close loopholes being used to replace American workers. I wanted to check in to share some of these important highlights.

Passed: Issa's Bill to Unwind Job-Killing Regulations

The Midnight Rules Relief Act is bipartisan legislation that will provide relief from unaccountable, last-minute regulations making it harder for businesses to succeed.
