Escondido – Last week, Congressman Darrell Issa participated in a local farm roundtable discussion with avocado and citrus growers from San Diego and Southwest Riverside County.

Joined by a group of local cultivators, agriculture experts and the California Avocado Commission, Congressman Issa heard about current challenges facing the industry as well as the continued leading market contributions of California growers.

Congressman Issa toured the Ridge Creek Ranch avocado orchard in Valley Center as part of the listening tour.
