In February 2024, Speaker Mike Johnson created the bipartisan House task force on Artificial Intelligence (AI). 

The task force is examining emerging AI use across industries and the consideration of potential federal policy action in response.  

As Chairman of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet, Rep. Issa is an established leader on the issue, its technological potential, and the proper role of government.

He has convened multiple subcommittee hearings on the issue and roundtables discussions with industry leaders to better understand the opportunities and challenges of AI.
