WASHINGTON, D.C.— This week, Congressman Issa received a Resolution of Appreciation from the North County Fire Protection District (NCFPD) for his leadership in achieving a $7 million grant – the largest in NCFPD history.
Funding will support construction of a new 9,000 square foot modern fire station in Fallbrook, providing state-of-the-art facilities to the surrounding community and Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
WASHINGTON, D.C.— This week, Congressman Issa welcomed high school students from Riverside County and southern California chapters, representing the FFA (National Future Farmers of America) and over one million California FFA students.

Today, Congressman Darrell Issa joined California Congressman Doug LaMalfa (CA-01) in introducing H.R. 3300, the Forest Protection and Wildland Firefighter Safety Act of 2025, which ensures essential aerial fire retardant is available for U.S. Forest Service wildfire suppression efforts without permitting delays.

Escondido – This week, Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) led a letter to USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins calling for the reinstatement of essential USDA pest inspections on avocados bound for U.S. import.
Congressman Darrell Issa welcomed Escondido Mayor Dane White and Escondido Councilmember Joe Garcia to Washington to meet on a range of city issues including public safety, housing, economic development and more. It was a highly productive meeting to advance essential solutions for Escondido’s most pressing federal needs.
