Internships

The Office of Congressman Darrell Issa offers internships in the Washington, D.C. office, Escondido and Temecula California locations. While internships generally run in quarters or trimesters aligned with the school year, custom opportunities may also be considered.

Interns will work with staff to serve the Constituents of the 48th District of California. Interns responsibilities may include: general administrative support tasks, assisting staff with constituent casework, writing, research, greeting guests, and more.

Part-time and full-time candidates are encouraged to apply.

We are delighted to work with candidates seeking to earn educational credits. The start and end date of the internship, as well as the hours worked per work, can be tailored to meet the student’s needs.  However, we prefer interns commit to at least 6 weeks of service and a minimum of 15 hours a week.  We find that Interns are able to learn more, and therefore experience more productive tasks, with these commitments.

The office is an equal opportunity employer, abiding by all applicable laws.

Please complete and submit the form below to apply. Ensure that you have your cover letter and resume ready to upload at the end of this form. Submitting these documents is required. A staff member will follow-up with you following submission or you may call the California or Washington, DC offices with questions.

**Update - We are now accepting applications for Spring and Summer 2024 Washington, DC internships*
