Congressman Issa visited Joan MacQueen Middle School in Alpine, CA to meet with school leaders, educators, parents, and students.  

For those that say safe in-person school instruction isn’t possible during the Pandemic, they should come to Alpine where it has been operating successfully for months.  District Superintendent, Dr. Richard Newman, shared their District’s model of reopening success and their whole of community approach to prioritize the needs of families and students in order to continue learning and restart instruction.

This week Congressman Issa, Congressman Calvert, Leader McCarthy and the Members of the California Republican Delegation, requested the House Natural Resources Committee hold a hearing to respond to California’s drought disaster. Given California’s agricultural footprint, this is of national importance and is deserving of urgent Congressional attention.

CA-50 Member Designated Project Requests

Congressman Darrell Issa has submitted the below funding requests for transportation related projects in California’s 50th District to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure to be considered in the 2021 Surface Transportation Authorization.

Rep. Darrel Issa (R., Calif.), a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, echoed calls for an investigation and promised to hold Kerry accountable for the disclosure of sensitive military information.

"While we can’t simply accept as fact what we hear from Iran’s foreign minister (or read in the New York Times), these reports warrant full and immediate investigation," Issa said. "If John Kerry shared our nation’s intelligence with Iran and endangered Israel in any way, I promise he will be held to account."
