Rep. Darell Issa suggested Thursday that San Diego would be the “ideal” location for the new White House Office of Shipbuilding that President Trump announced during his recent speech to Congress.

Issa made the pitch in a letter to Trump, citing the need to revitalize shipbuilding in the United States.
