In a letter to Marybel Batjer, President of the California Public Utilities Commission, the Members demanded that the Commission stop the implementation of Section 3101(a)(6) of the California Internet Consumer Protection and Net Neutrality Act of 2018, because it would deny veterans in the State access to health care.

“Palomar was asked by two levels of government to take the lead in our community’s COVID-19 response and made significant investments to do so,” Issa said. “When Palomar was met with bureaucratic obstacles to gain its deserved reimbursement, our office worked with various levels of government to overcome them.”

Palomar Health will receive more than $3 million in reimbursements from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for its COVID-19 alternate care site at Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, it was announced this week.

ABC 10 News - Dozens of migrant teenagers being housed at the San Diego Convention Center have tested positive for the coronavirus. Some local lawmakers say this may not have been the best choice for the shelter.

El Cajon Mayor Bill Wells says all children need to be taken care of regardless of the circumstances. Wells added, however, that there was no public input, arguing that taxpayers who paid for the convention center deserve a say.
