ICYMI - As more consumers opt to shop online, they are increasingly vulnerable to the rising number of counterfeit goods sold on e-commerce platforms. The Shop Safe Act will ensure that online platforms hosting third-party sellers are incentivized to screen and vet sellers and products.

Congressman Issa visited Joan MacQueen Middle School in Alpine, CA to meet with school leaders, educators, parents, and students.  

For those that say safe in-person school instruction isn’t possible during the Pandemic, they should come to Alpine where it has been operating successfully for months.  District Superintendent, Dr. Richard Newman, shared their District’s model of reopening success and their whole of community approach to prioritize the needs of families and students in order to continue learning and restart instruction.

This week Congressman Issa, Congressman Calvert, Leader McCarthy and the Members of the California Republican Delegation, requested the House Natural Resources Committee hold a hearing to respond to California’s drought disaster. Given California’s agricultural footprint, this is of national importance and is deserving of urgent Congressional attention.
