Congressman Issa introduced the Jax Act, which will amend the military records of women veterans deployed alongside Special Forces soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq – but were never recognized for their service. The Issa bill will correct the denial of rank, benefits, and critical health care services for these service members.

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property and the Internet in the House Judiciary Committee, introduced bipartisan legislation to reduce the expense of automotive repairs and the cost of car insurance. Representatives Dave Joyce (OH-14), Zoe Lofgren (CA-18), Laurel Lee (FL-15), Sheila Jackson Lee (TX-18), and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-3) joined Congressman Issa as original cosponsors to this legislation.

Issa introduced the Protecting and Enhancing Public Access to Codes Act (Pro Codes Act), which would protect public access to important federal rules and regulations. The Pro Codes Act will ensure our standards remain transparent, accessible, and available.

Congressman Issa announced today that he was joined by Representative Calvert to form the Bipartisan Fentanyl Prevention Caucus. The co-chairs will coordinate with members from both sides of the aisle to combat the nationwide spike in fentanyl-related overdoses and drug poisonings, as well as work with federal and state law enforcement. Members will also work to bring key information to the public to better combat the ongoing threat of fentanyl in communities across America.

Issa, Chair of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and colleagues have reintroduced the bicameral, bipartisan No Stolen Trademarks Honored in America Act. This bill would prohibit U.S. courts and executive branch agencies from recognizing, enforcing, or otherwise validating any assertion of rights by an individual of a trademark that was used in connection with a business or assets that were confiscated by the Cuban regime, unless the original owner of the trademark expressly consented to the transfer of the trademark.

WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Darrell Issa sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken calling for a comprehensive inquiry into federal grants and congressional appropriations awarded by the State Department to the Global Disinformation Index – a Europe-based organization that maintains an exclusion list of conservative media sites to target for “disinformation.”
 
The list included established media outlets including the Washington Examiner, Real Clear Politics, the Federalist, Newsmax, Breitbart, the Daily Wire, One America News, and the New York Post.
