Washington – Last night, Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) voted in support of the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act. The bill supports pro-economic growth policies and delivers tax relief to American families. 

Yesterday, Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) spoke out against a proposal by the University of California school system to allow undocumented students to work at UC schools.

Washington – Last week, the Jamul Indian Village Land Transfer Act (H.R.6443) authored by Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48), passed unanimously through the House Natural Resources Committee.

H.R.6443 incorporates 172 acres of land in San Diego’s East County region into the Jamul Indian Village Reservation, which places the land into tribal trust and will preserve the land for generations to come.

Following the House Judiciary Committee vote today formally recommending to hold Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress, Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) gave the following statement:

"We have an individual who not only ignored a lawfully issued subpoena but showed up to the Capitol and flipped the middle finger at the American people. Because of this, the House Judiciary Committee rightfully found Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress.
 

Tel Aviv – Congressman Darrell Issa is touring the Middle East as part of a bipartisan Congressional Delegation. He met directly with Egyptian President Sisi in Cairo and with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in Tel Aviv.

He also personally toured Kibbutz Nir Oz, which was attacked by Hamas terrorists on October 7. More than a quarter of Nir Oz’s 427 residents were either murdered or kidnapped.

Following a comprehensive tour of the San Diego region’s southern border yesterday alongside mayors and other local leaders representing San Diego and Riverside Counties, Congressman Issa (CA-48) released this statement:

Washington – Today, the Passport System Reform and Backlog Prevention Act (H.R.6610) authored by Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48), passed unanimously through the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Temecula – Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48), founding Chairman of the Congressional Fentanyl Caucus, was joined by Riverside County law enforcement officials, legislative leaders, and local families who have lost loved ones to fentanyl poisoning to announce the introduction of H.R. 6671 – Alexandra’s Law – legislation to significantly increase penalties for drug dealers of lethal fentanyl.
