WASHINGTON, DC– Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) issued the following statement following the third hearing of the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government:
Washington, DC - Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) voted in favor of H.R. 1, the "Lower Energy Costs Act" to boost domestic energy production, cut red-tape regulations, and lower the cost of energy for American families and small-businesses.
Congressman Issa understands California needs affordable, reliable energy solutions. By unleashing American energy we can ensure ample energy supply to meet growing demand, make the nation less dependent on foreign energy sources, and lower the price for this essential need.
Washington, D.C. — Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property and the Internet in the House Judiciary Committee, introduced bipartisan legislation to reduce the expense of automotive repairs and the cost of car insurance. Representatives Dave Joyce (OH-14), Zoe Lofgren (CA-18), Laurel Lee (FL-15), Sheila Jackson Lee (TX-18), and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-3) joined Congressman Issa as original cosponsors to this legislation.
Staff of Congressman Issa recently visited Michelle's Place of Temecula to present a certificate of appreciation for the organization's work in providing resources for families dealing with cancer. Serving Riverside, North County San Diego and San Bernardino County as a 501(c)3 since 2001, they have provided support services to more than 10,000 community members facing cancer.

Congressman Issa recently visited Ramona to tour environmental challenges facing the community. He also gathered with community leaders, small-business owners, growers, and residents to listen to the challenges they need Congressional action on this year. Issa provided an update on legislative priorities and Committee action to date.
