In February 2024, Speaker Mike Johnson created the bipartisan House task force on Artificial Intelligence (AI). 

The task force is examining emerging AI use across industries and the consideration of potential federal policy action in response.  

As Chairman of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet, Rep. Issa is an established leader on the issue, its technological potential, and the proper role of government.


Captain E. Royce Williams is a veteran of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, but he achieved historic distinction in the skies over the Sea of Japan on November 18, 1952 – although his indomitable courage under fire and heroism for the ages remained classified for more than half a century. Now, that truth is no longer a secret. The Royce Williams story can finally be told in full.

Congressman Issa continues to advocate for Royce and has introduced H.R. 1819 to waive the five-year time limitation on consideration for the medal, allowing the Commander-in-Chief to do right by history and right by a 100-year-old veteran: The Classified Combatant of America’s Forgotten War.
