Under the "Emergency Wildfire Fighting Technology Act" the newest aerial firefighting capabilities will be evaluated by the federal government and can be put into use to enhance rapid surge capabilities.

Giant Sequoias are the largest trees on Earth and solely found in roughly 70 groves across 37,000 acres in California. Action is needed to further protect these iconic trees against the threat of wildfire.
