Today, Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) testified before the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, where he urged his fellow Members to support legislation to prevent the establishment of a punitive mileage tax on American drivers. Rep. Issa has previously introduced the No Track, No Tax Act to prevent the funding of both a tax on every mile Americans drive and mileage tracking devices that would calculate that distance.

Congressman Darrell Issa issued the following statement in response to the decision by LA28 to not keep Galway Downs as an Olympic venue for the 2028 summer games.

“I’m deeply disappointed to learn that Galway Downs in Temecula is reportedly no longer LA28’s proposed host site for equestrian events at the upcoming 2028 Olympic Games. This abrupt move appears arbitrary, unwarranted, and our community deserves a clear explanation of the process that led to this change. At this time, a satisfactory reason has yet to be offered.
