ARLINGTON – On the third anniversary of the Abbey Gate bombing in Afghanistan that claimed the lives of 13 American servicemembers, Congressman Darell Issa (CA-48) participated in wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery at the invitation of the Gold Star families of the fallen. Attending the ceremony alongside Issa were President Donald Trump and House colleagues (as well as fellow veterans) Brian Mast (FL-21), Cory Mills (FL-07), and Mike Waltz (FL-06). 
 

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) and House Republican Conference Chair Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (NY-21) introduced the Modern Firearm Safety Act which will stop states from enacting unconstitutional “handgun rosters” that prevent law-abiding citizens from accessing modern, safer handgun models.

Washington – The U.S. Embassy in Beirut has issued a Security Alert for Americans currently in Lebanon who wish to depart the country. On Thursday, July 31, the embassy also raised the Travel Advisory for Lebanon to “Level 4: Do Not Travel” (the highest warning level) for the entire country.
