According to a new proposal by Rep. Issa, the Sanctuary City Accountability Act would allow Americans to sue over the policies that limit the ability of local law enforcement to comply with federal immigration laws. Specifically, the bill would permit victims and their immediate families to take legal action over crimes that impacted them as a direct result of the policies.

The Congressman requested the new Treasury leadership review the fundraising “to determine whether ActBlue or ActBlue Charities have violated relevant criminal statutes."
