POWAY, CA— Recently, Congressman Issa visited Poway to tour the Decision Sciences headquarters, a leading U.S. developer of advanced security and contraband detection systems. 

Issa toured the factory and received a briefing on the company’s innovative, non-radioactive scanning technology to detect illicit materials and human smuggling at the Southern Border and seaports. Rep. Issa also participated in a demonstration of Decision Sciences’ leading-edge software— The Discovery Scanning System.

According to a new proposal by Rep. Issa, the Sanctuary City Accountability Act would allow Americans to sue over the policies that limit the ability of local law enforcement to comply with federal immigration laws. Specifically, the bill would permit victims and their immediate families to take legal action over crimes that impacted them as a direct result of the policies.

Following his calls in 2023, Congressman Issa renewed calls for the Treasury Department to investigate whether ActBlue Charities had reason to know it was handling payments that could support terror. The Congressman requested the new Treasury leadership review the fundraising “to determine whether ActBlue or ActBlue Charities have violated relevant criminal statutes."
