Lakeside, CA – Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) joined the community of Lakeside and all in attendance as he helped kick off “Family Night” at the opening of four days of festivities at the Lakeside Rodeo – the largest in Southern California.

Washington – Last week, Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) secured unanimous support for his amendment to H.R. 8036, the Indo-Pacific Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, affirming the United States’ robust backing for the Philippines as it faces increasing pressure from the People’s Republic of China (PRC).

Washington – This week, the Pro Codes Act (H.R. 1631) authored by Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48), passed through the House Judiciary Committee.

Washington – This week, Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48), introduced legislation to honor the 100th anniversary of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the trade association representing the $505 billion U.S. consumer technology industry, which supports more than 18 million U.S. jobs.

H. Res. 1144 acknowledges CTA’s milestones, advocacy, and leading contributions toward advancing American technological innovation over the last century. Rep. Issa – a former Chairman of CTA’s predecessor the Consumer Electronics Association – included the following statement:

Washington – On April 11, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida delivered an address to a joint meeting of Congress. Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48), a senior Member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, hosted Dr. Kevin Roberts, President of The Heritage Foundation, as his guest. Following the speech, Rep. Escondido – Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) announced today that his office is now accepting submissions for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition, a contest for high school students in the 48th Congressional District to showcase the best of their artistic creations, which will also be displayed in the Capitol Building.
